Memorial services for Debra Frances Lara Gonzales, 30 of Hobbs, will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2012, at Chapel of Hope officiated by Pastor Elio Barrios. Debra died July 1, 2012, in Hobbs. She was born February 23, 1982, in Kermit, TX, to Luis Lara and Wanda Lara. A gathering with family and friends will be on Thursday, July 5 from 4 6 p.m. at Chapel of Hope. Debra was of the Baptist faith.
Debra attended school in Hobbs and received her LPN license at Odessa College in 2006. She was loved by many friends and family and believed in living life to the fullest loving to joke around and to laugh. Debra loved her three babies. She was lovingly known to her sisters as Anaya and to her nieces and nephews as Pia.
Surviving Debra are her children, Christopher Jackson, David Blake Gonzales and Kaila Gonzales her parents, Wanda Henson and Luis Lara both of Hobbs stepparents, Clifford Henson and Yolanda Lara both of Hobbs sisters, Janice Lara, and husband Robert, and Vanessa Hernandez, and husband Rene, both of Hobbs nephews, Johnathan, James, Eric and Andrew all of Hobbs and nieces, Emily, Jazmine and Madison, all of Hobbs many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Preceding her in death are her grandparents, Hazel and Jim Horseman, Luther and Sara Lara Evah Marie Gonzalez Stacey Dean Wilson, James Munoz, Joe Lara, Connie Lupe Espinosa, Mary Ochoa, and Vivian Flores.
