Deanna Walton Dyer, 76, went home to be with the Lord on December 25, 2013. Deanna was born August 3, 1937 to D.H. and Moreta Walton in Beaver, Oklahoma. She married Marx Dyer on June 5, 1954, and spent fiftynine years by his side.
Deanna was preceded in death by her parents D.H. and Moreta Walton, and sister, Beverly Thomas.
Deanna attended Hobbs schools and graduated from Hobbs High School. After graduation Deanna spent several years taking care of the home, as well as serving seven years as Secretary at Hobbs High School. Deanna coowned and operated Walton Construction Company with her husband Marx and brother David Walton, where she worked until she retired in 1996. Deanna was a loving, devoted wife and mother, who truly enjoyed being with family and friends. Deanna was a dedicated Hobbs resident.
Deanna is survived by her husband Marx Dyer, Hobbs her five children, Steve of Ruidoso, NM Tim and wife Janie of Midland, TX Cristie of Fort Collins, CO Jeff of Hobbs and Randy and wife Nikki of Highlands Ranch, CO. Nine grandchildren, Jason, Linsey, Allison, Jordan, Lauren, Josh, Kenidi, Averi, and Lili. Nine greatgrandchildren. One brother, David, of Hobbs, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, Sunday, December 29, 2013, with the family in attendance from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 30, 2013 at Chapel of Hope, followed by burial service at Prairie Haven Cemetery.
