Funeral services for Brent Singleterry will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
Pastor Elio Barrios will officiate. Burial will follow after the services at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday 1 5 p.m. and Thursday 8 a.m. until service time.
Singleterry, 47, died May 29, 2011, at Lea Regional Medical Center. He was born October 13, 1963, in Denver City, Texas.
Brent enjoyed life to the fullest. He greatly enjoyed times with his family. Brent was a great cook and spent much time sharing with his friends and family. His favorite food was Granny Cowans sour pickles. Brent was a collector of teddy bears, especially ceramic ones. One of the biggest highlights in Brents life was his trip to Europe after graduating from high school. He and his brother, Allen, went through Europe together.
Survivors include his parents, David and Judy Singleterry of Hobbs son Evan Singleterry of Wichita, Kansas brother Allen Singleterry of Wichita, Kansas two uncles, Paul Singleterry of Mulvane, Kansas and Melvin Singleterry of Ovido, Florida two aunts, Ann Hodge and Donna Sefik of Denver City, Texas a very special friend Stelvie Parks of Hobbs nephew Anthony Singleterry of Wichita, Kansas and numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Singleterry and grandparents, Raymond and Leta May Singleterry and Pete and Audra Cowan.
