Daniel Boerner

Funeral services for Dan Boerner, 56, of Hobbs, will be Saturday, April 30, 2011, 10:30 a.m. at Taylor Street Church of Christ with Pastor Rubin Lomas officiating. Visitation will be Friday, April 29, 4 6 p.m. only with the family in attendance at that time. Dan died April 23, 2011, at his home. He was born April 29, 1955, in Hobbs, NM, to Ralph and Be Boerner.

Dan graduated from Hobbs High School and then took vocational training. He married his high school sweetheart, who was the love of his life, Marilyn Kay, May 1, 1975. Dan was a sports fanatic and was a Hobbs Eagle and Oklahoma Sooner fan. He had a big heart, didnt know a stranger and he touched the lives of everyone he met. He was a member of Taylor Street Church of Christ.

Surviving Dan is his mother, Be Boerner, of Hobbs son Jason Boerner and fiance, Tyne, of Hobbs daughter, Amy Boerner of Eunice, NM two brothers, Richard Boerner and wife Becky of Gun Barrel City, TX, and Fred BoernerAraj and wife Hanan of Houston, TX sister, Jeannie Anderson and husband Leon, of Hobbs grandson, Grayson CoxBoerner, of Aubrey, TX, and a granddaughter to be three nephews, Ryan Anderson of Lubbock, TX, Tim Anderson of Hobbs, and Chad Boerner of Gun Barrel City, TX and his sidekick and favorite canine, Molly the Lab.

He was preceded in death by his father,Ralph Boerner and his wife, Marilyn.
