Dalene Faye Sage, 50, of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away January 3, 2016 in Hobbs, NM. She was born July 27, 1965 in Hobbs, NM to Lewis and Melta Faye Bates-Wright.
She graduated from Hobbs Holiness Academy in Hobbs. She was a very talented seamstress, designing and creating her own wedding dress. She especially enjoyed creating original designs for her daughters.
Dalene became a Christian at a young age and taught her children the importance of a daily prayer life from which she never wavered. Her faith in God sustained her throughout her long illness.
On September 28, 1984 she became the much loved wife of Jeffrey Daniel Sage. They were devoted and committed to each other for over 31 years.
She lived in Hobbs, New Mexico most of her life with the exception of the seven years she and her family lived in Glenwood, Arkansas.
Dalene is survived by her husband Jeff, two daughters; Alexia and Loren and one son; Connor all of the home, two sons and daughters-in law; Brandon and Danyelle of Van Cleave, MS, Austin and Shay of Colcord, OK and one special grand-daughter Prestley Sage, other survivors include her dad, Lewis Wright, two brothers and sisters-in-law; Dallen and Tamara Wright of Byars, OK, Kyle and Bridget Wright of Hobbs, NM, one sister-in-law Debra Wright of Chelsea, Oklahoma, many nieces and nephews who called her Aunt Lene and a host of other friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her mother Melta Faye Wright and one brother Chris Wright, and her father-in-law Daniel Sage.
