Dale Crocket

Dale Crockett, 89, was born November 30, 1926, in Mullen, TX. to H. J. and Ella Dale Crockett. He passed away in Hobbs, NM on July 1, 2016.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bobby, Billy, sister Joan Hillman, son Randall and his first wife Patricia. He is survived by his current wife Annette, daughter Cheryl Gray, son Tracy Crockett and son-in-law Jimmy Gray. Dale is also survived by brother Ralph Crockett and by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Dale was a member of The Greatest Generation in World War II, having served in the Navy. After returning from the War, he had a long successful career in the Oil Industry at Kermit, Sweetwater and Hobbs as District Superintendent with Skelly, Getty and Texaco. His most notable achievement was in the late 1960's. He drilled the deepest gas well in Texas, which was The Discovery Well for the Gomez Gas Field in Ft. Stockton, TX.
