Cynthia Scott

January 8, 1956 — October 25, 2024

Hobbs

Cynthia L. Scott, Cindy to her friends and Nana to her Family, age 68, left this world on October 25, 2024, when she was suddenly and unexpectedly called home to be with her father. Cindy was born on January 8, 1956, in Fort Worth, TX to parents Leland and Jean Drinnon. Cindy met and married her husband Ed Scott April 17, 1981, in Midland TX. They soon moved to Hobbs, NM where they spent their 43 plus years together. She dedicated her life to caring for her family. Cindy was a wonderful caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved keeping all the family and friends connected, it was a rare day that you did not at least get a text saying 'hi' and 'love you' from her. Cindy would be the first one to show up if a family member or a friend needed help. Cindy loved and was loved by many. She is survived by her husband Ed Scott, her two sons and their wives; Grayson and LeDonna Scott, Jimie Lee and Julia Scott, six grandchildren; Justice Scott, Emilee Simon, Liberty Scott and fiancé Derian Velarde, Xander Sanchez, Conner Scott, and Charlie Scott, four great-grandchildren; Indica Jennings, Kyrie Jennings, Amarii Scott, and one more on the way. She is also survived by her mother Jean Drinnon, sisters Gloria and husband Ben Smith, Lynda Wood, and numerous nieces, nephews and their extended families. Cindy was preceded in death by her father Leland Drinnon and adopted daughter Jennifer Taylor. Cindy's Loving Spirit and Courage were an Irresistible Force that her Family and Friends will miss deeply.
