Connie Summers

A funeral service for Connie L. Summers, 57, of Hobbs will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2010, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home. Pastor Billy Chidester will officiate.

Cremation will take place.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Thursday, September 9, 2010, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.

Summers died September 4, 2010, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. She was born September 24, 1952, in Brownfield, Texas.

Connie retired from the State of New Mexico as a caseworker. She enjoyed growing roses, antiques and old TV shows. She was a very unselfish person, always putting others before herself. She lived for her family.

Survivors include her mother Estelle Lee of Hobbs son Eddie Summers and wife Amanda of Bossier City, Louisana daughter Cherie Berdoza of Hobbs three brothers Danny Daniels and wife Sue of Abilene Texas, Clay Daniels and wife Nancy of Dallas, Texas, and Jerry Lee Daniels and wife Veronica of Colorado Springs, Colorado and six grandchildren.

Connie was preceded in death by her father Preston Summers son Andrew Summers and two brothers, Zeddie Daniels and Michael Lee.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Hobbs.
