Connie Fry

Connie was born November 25th, 1969, in Hobbs, New Mexico, and passed away surrounded by her loved ones on November 21st, 2021, due to natural causes.  She attended school in Hobbs, graduating from Hobbs High School, and later attending the NMJC and University of the Southwest. Connie was a talented math tutor for several years in Hobbs, before moving to New Orleans and beginning her career in the hospitality industry. The highlight of that career was working at the Mahogany Jazz Hall on Chartres Street, where she was the general manager for several years. She is remembered as a bubbly, hard-working, and loving person by those around her. During her life, she was also an incredible artist, writer, and all-around creative spirit. Connie is survived by her parents, Marita and Kevin Burnam, her daughter, Annastasia Hamm, her son, Kevin M. Burnam, her aunt, Cornelia Barakofsky, and her cousin, Michael Barakofsky. She will forever hold a special place in our hearts and be dearly missed.
