Concepcion Ramirez

A funeral mass for Concepcion G. Ramirez of Hobbs, New Mexico, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 21, 2008, at St. Helena Catholic Church with Father Manuel Ybarra officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Cemetery.

Rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. Thurshy;sday, November 20, at Chapel of Hope Fushy;neral Home.

Private vishy;sitation for the family will be held Wednesday. Public visishy;tation will be 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday at Chapel of Hope.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

Concepcion, 92, died November 16, 2008, at Lea Regional Medical Center in Hobbs, New Mexico. She was born July 26, 1916, in Meoqui, Chihuahua, Mexico. She married Emilio Ramirez in 1936 in Mexico.

Concepcion taught school in Mexico before moving to the U.S. She was very involved in her church. Concepcion enjoyed people and especially loved her family. She was a great cook. She was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Hector Ramirez and wife Anna of Hobbs, New Mexico; two grandchilshy;dren, Hector Ramirez Jr. and wife Celia of Hobbs, New Mexico, and Cesar Ramirez of Hobbs, New Mexico; three grandchildren, Celia Ramirez, Hector Ramirez III and Joselyn Ramirez, all of Hobbs, New Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Concepcion was preceded in death by her husband, Emilio Ramirez; a grandson, Jesus Ramirez; three brothers and one sister. Memorial contribushy;tions may be made to St. Helena School, 105 E. St. Anne, Hobbs, NM 88240.
