Mr. Clyde Lawson, 95, died June 21, 2007, at Lea Regional Medical Center. He was born May 31, 1912, in Wesley, Ark. He married Lorena Gardner Lawson in January 1940, in Fayetteville, Ark.
Mr. Lawson worked for 25 years as a line foreman for New Mexico Electric. He retired in 1975 and was retired for 31 years. Clyde loved new cars, traveling and deer huntshy;ing. He never met a stranger.
He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Darrel Lawson and wife Becky of Hobbs, N.M.; two daughters, Janice Lawson Clary and husband Steve of Heath, Texas, and JoAnn Miller of Roswell, N.M.; a grandson, Mike Webb and wife Paula of Lubbock, Texas; granddaughters, Lorie Webb Goodrich and husband Phillip of Plano, Texas, Pam Groan Riley and husband Tim of Scotsdale, Ariz., Stephanie Grogan Trotman and husband John of Odessa, Texas, Jennifer Lawson Hammond and husband Todd of Hobbs, N.M., and Leigh Ann Lawson Bradley and husband Kyle of Hobbs, N.M.; 13 great-grandshy;children; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Clyde was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Lorena Gardner Lawson, on Feb. 3, 2001; and one grandson.
