alignjustifyGraveside services for C.H. Flowers Sr. of Hobbs, New Mexico, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2009, at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Donald Ray Abston, nephew of Mr. Flowers, will officiate.

alignjustifyVisitation will be Sunday from 1-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
alignjustifyMr. Flowers, 89, died August 27, 2009, at Lea Regional Medical Center. He was born May 6, 1920, in Crowell, Texas. He married Louise Abston on December 25, 1939, in Crowell, Texas.
alignjustifyC.H. was employed by Xpert Well Servicing for many years. After he retired with X-pert, he was a self-employed mechanic. He enjoyed fishing and especially enjoyed taking his dog, Sugar, riding on his electric scooter.
alignjustifySurvivors include his wife, Louise Flowers of the home; two sons, Burt Flowers and wife Kathy of Hobbs and Ray Flowers and wife Shirley of Hobbs; a brother, Charles Flowers of Kingston, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Judy Flowers of Hobbs; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
alignjustifyHe was preceded in death by a son, Clurry Flowers Jr. on April 1, 2005.
