Funeral services for Clifford Johnson of Hobbs, N.M., will be 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at New Life Fellowship Church, 707 W. Church Street, with Pastor Millie Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Hashy;ven Memoshy;rial Park. Visitation is 1 to 6 p.m. today with the family in attendance from 4-6 p.m. and 8-11:30 a.m. Monday at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Mr. Johnson, 57, died Feb. 20, 2008, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. He was born March 18, 1950, in Seminole, Okla. He married Debbie Adams Johnson on Jan. 26, 1980, in Hobbs, N.M.
Clifford had worked in the oilfield since 1974. He had retired with Texaco Oil Company after 30 years of service. He enjoyed working on his Corvette and arrowshy;head hunting. Sunday was a special cooking day for Clifford and his family. Clifford loved his wife, chilshy;dren and granddaughter.
He was a member of New Life Fellowship Church.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Johnson of the home; his father, Bill R. Johnson of Hobbs, N.M.; a son, Christopher Johnson of Hobbs, N.M.; a daughter, Melissa Johnson of Hobbs, N.M.; two sisters, Tina Baskin of Andrews, Texas, and Carolyn Johnson of Hobbs, N.M.; a granddaughter, Emma Johnson of Hobbs, N.M.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Clifford was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Johnson in 2006.
