Funeral services for Clarence Dewey Gideon of Hobbs will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2010, at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Chapel.
Reverence Russell Hill will officiate and burial will follow the services at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
Visitation is Sunday 1:30 p.m. 6:00 p.m. at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home, with the family in attendance from 4 5 p.m. and Monday 8 a.m. 12:30 p.m.
Chapel of Hope is in charge of arrangements.
Gideon, 73, died, January 21, 2010, in Hobbs. He was born August 14, 1936, in Hobbs.
He was born in Hobbs and lived here all his life. He was an owner and operator of Eagle Auto Sales. He enjoyed flying.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his son David Gideon and wife Brenda of Hobbs daughter Debra Mims of Longview, Texas brother Billy Joe Gideon and wife Cynthia of Joelton, Tennessee sister Laverne Heckman and husband Tommy of Chattanooga, Tennessee five grandchildren, one greatgrandchild two nieces and three great nieces and one great nephew.
