Christina Figueroa

               It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christina Ann Figueroa, age 36, of Hobbs, on May 13th, 2024. Christina was born on April 26th, 1988, in Albuquerque, NM, to her loving mother, Delia H. Pina.

                A graduate of Hobbs High School, class of 2006, Christina was a beacon of talent and creativity. Known throughout the community for her extraordinary baking skills and other entrepreneurial endeavors, she was the proud owner of Bake My Day – Creations by Christina. Her cakes, cookies, and pastries were not only delicious but also brought immense joy to those around her. Her bake sales were eagerly awaited events, showcasing her generosity and warm spirit.

                She was preceded in death by her aunt, Delliah H. Pina, her father-in-law, Concepcion “Chon” Figueroa, and her grandparents, Juan G. and Maria H. Pina. She is survived by the father of her children, Daniel Figueroa; children, Daniel Jr., Sophia L., and Abigail N. Figueroa, all residing in Hobbs, NM; mother, Delia H. Pina, of Nederland, TX; father, Leocadio Jurado, of Monument, NM; brother, Alonso and Idaly Jurado (Velez), of Beaumont, TX; brother, Joe Jurado of Hobbs, NM; brother, Florencio “Lanche” Jurado of Hobbs; sister, Marisol Jurado of Gomez Palacio, Durango Mexico, among so many other cherished relatives and loved ones.
