Cheryal Wilks

Cheryal Marie Wilks, 65, passed away October 31, 2013 in Midland, TX. She was born to Dorothy Marie Isbell Dendy and the late Denzel Isbell Izzy on September 12, 1948 in Lubbock, TX. Cheryal married the love of her life, Dennis Wilks on November 26, 1966 in Hobbs, NM. Cheryal lived in Hobbs for most of her life before moving to Midland, TX in 2003. She was a longtime employee of Plains All American Pipeline as a records analyst.
She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Marie Isbell of Hobbs, NM daughter Betty Handy and children Carlee and Rebeca Handy of Hobbs daughter Stephenee Lindsay and children Joshua and Tiffanee Lindsay of Midland, TX son Dudley Wilks and wife Stephanie, and their children Drayton and Nolan Wilks of Hobbs brother Truett Isbell and wife Lindy of Ozark, Arkansas sister Denese Kittrell and husband Chuck of Houston, TX abundant cousins, nieces, nephews, an uncle, and numerous special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Wilks her father Denzel Isbell and sister Sandra Bengel.
Cheryal graduated from Hobbs High School in 1966 and was a member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church in Hobbs. She was a strong Christian woman who enjoyed reading, her church family, gardening, Lunas nachos, coffee, watching her familys participation in sporting events, and above all else, she loved and took great joy in her family and grandchildren. She was lovingly referred to as MawMaw.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 3, from 2 p.m.6 p.m. and Monday, November 4, from 8:00 a.m.12:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 4, at 2 p.m. at St. Pauls United Methodist Church in Hobbs. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
