Charles Smith

Charles 'Bo' Smith, age 68, of Hobbs, NM received his wings on, Saturday, April 20, 2024. Bo is survived by his wife of 43 years, Glenna Smith, two daughters Karla Smith and Kandi Merrill, three grandchildren, Jalen Young, Myles Young, and Serenity Merrill. His father; Elga Ray Smith, two brothers; Michael and Casey Smith; additional family, Zabe and Catherine Boles, Edward and Sonya Rodriguez, and countless nieces and nephews. Special friends, Manuel Barron, and Greg and Cathy Davis, of Hobbs, New Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his mother; Ada Smith, and two sisters; Elga Lynn Doyle, and Detra Kay Clark.

Bo grew up in Woodson, Texas where he attended Woodson Independent School. He lived in Hobbs, New Mexico where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, BBQing, gardening, NASCAR racing, and boxing. He would do anything for his friends and loved ones. Bo made everyone he knew laugh and feel cared for. He was a great storyteller and often shared stories of his adventures.

Our family is grateful to know that Bo is at peace. There are no events planned at this time.
