Charles Ray Mills, 56, died Friday, August 13, 2010, at his home in Hobbs. Mills was born July 12, 1954, in Texarkana, Arkansas.
Services are planned Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. August 18, 2010, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements. Interment will be after the service at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Rev. Steve Lord, Hospice Chaplain, will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 7 p.m. August 17, 2010, at Chapel of Hope.
He moved to Hobbs in 1955 from Texarkana, Arkansas. Mills graduated from Hobbs High School in 1972 and went to work for Star Tool Co. and was there 15 years. He then worked 15 years for I Got It Business Machines and finally retired to take care of his parents. He loved the drag races and fixing things. He was called Mr. Fix It. Charles enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Mills of Hobbs a brother Allen Mills and wife Shana of Hobbs a grandson, Thomas Amerlio of Oceanside, California his parents, Charles and Marilyn Mills of Hobbs and his nephew Chad Mills and niece Kamie Mills both of Hobbs.
He was preceded in death by his cat Kitty.
