Charles Ray Hodge (Uncle Chuck), 50, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 in Hobbs, NM. Charles was born on January 17, 1968 in Temple, TX to Lenora (BT) Farmer, Annie Hodge (Momma Hodge) and MT Hodge Sr. Charles graduated from Del Norte High School in Albuquerque, NM in 1985. Charles believed that the only way to make a living was to get up daily work hard for what you want, and he did just that daily. He worked for Halliburton as a service technician and most recently, Charles worked as a field technician for Weatherford.
Charles' first love was his wife, "Boss Lady Hodge," as he referred to her, his three children and his grandbabies. A close second was cooking for his loved ones and football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Another one of his favorite things was his reflection in the mirror, (It's a Hodge thang!). Charles also loved his four-legged babies, Gorgeous, Bowdy, Sinister, Solo and Karma.
Charles was one to keep it "one-hunnit" at all times, even if it hurt one's feeling, but he meant it out of love. As a very confident man, Charles took pride in his appearance from his hat to his shoes and always made sure his wife and kids were well dressed too.
Charles will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him, especially his "Mom," Yolanda Brizeno. Charles is survived by his wife, Prisella Hodge, of the home, children, Ala and Delante Hodge of Hobbs, NM, and Shaneka Rodriguez and husband Albert of Albuquerque, NM, grandchildren, Joseph, David and Nerisha of Albuquerque, NM, brothers Lonnie Hodge, Robert Hodge, James (Peter) Hodge all of Albuquerque, NM, and Ernest Hodge Sr. and wife Jean of Hobbs, NM, sisters, Jean Powdrell of Albuquerque, NM, Janet Carmon and husband Greg of Austin, TX, and Dee Hodge of Albuquerque, NM, along with a large extended family.
Charles is preceded in death by his first wife, Florence Hodge, parents, Lenora Farmer, Annie and MT Hodge Sr., siblings, Louise Brown, Zillie Davis, Wilbert (Bubba) Hodge, Alfred Basinger, MT Hodge Jr., grandsons, Christopher, Albert Jr. and Charles, and his four-legged baby, Boss Hodge.
To honor Charles' memory, the family is asking that those who attend the funeral services to wear your favorite football jersey.
