Funeral services for Charles Leslie Haley, 60, of Hobbs, New Mexico, will be held Saturday, July 20, 2013, 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Smith officiating and Rev. Darren Skinner assisting. He was born March 7, 1953, in Odessa, TX. to Charles V. and Hazel Haley. He passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013, in Hobbs.
Charles married Shirley Smith in Fort Stockton, TX. on June 1, 1974. He attended Texas AM where he received his BS and MS in electrical engineering. He worked the past thirty years in computer industry for TI, Dell, and HP before moving to New Mexico where he was currently employed for NOVAMUD. Charles enjoyed hunting with his son, fishing with his family, water sports, building and flying RC airplanes. He was a wonderful father and husband.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Haley, of Hobbs two daughters, Kristen Moltenberry and husband, Jeff of Dallas, TX, Lauren Haley and fianc, Jeremiah Oujezdsky of Temple, TX a son, Robert Haley of Hobbs parents, Hazel and Charles Haley of Weatherford, TX three sisters, Cindy Mayse and husband, David of Houston, TX, Debbie Morrow and husband, Rocky of Green River, WY, and Laura Haley of Waco, TX aunt and uncle, Ruby and Charles Williams, of Weatherford, TX.
Charles is preceded in death by grandparents, Lloyd and Sarah Haley, Jesse and Opal Melton inlaws, Opal and Ted Smith.
