Charles Jones

Charles Bryan Jones Charlie came into this life on July 25, 1963, to Donald P. and Glorietta Bootsie Jones and was set free to go home to the God of his understanding on November 5, 2011. His work here on earth was done.

Charles is survived by his mother, Bootsie Woodard and stepfather, JT Woodard sister Lisa Martinez of Hobbs stepsisters, Debbie Leal of Los Lunas, NM, and Shelia Pigg of Hobbs nieces, Lisa Dion Fuentez of San Diego, CA, and Jazlyn Camille Ms. Tootenhiem of Hobbs two nephews, Michael Charles Martinez and Marshall Vaughn Martine Araceli two aunts, Pat Schrader of Ruidoso, NM, and Joyce Awalt of Ft. Worth, TX and numerous cousins. He is also survived by his beloved cat, Shadow.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald. P. Jones maternal grandparents, Charles V. and Polly Hill his aunts, Johnnie Sue Hicks and Peggie Alcorn cousins, Wesley Peters and Kelly Awalt.

Charlie was a loving, giving member of Palmer Drug Abuse Program, touching many lives along the way. He shared his smile, a handshake, always a hug, a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen. Charlie was a graduste of the famous school of hard knocks and struggled with many trials in his life never losing his loving, giving spirit along the way. Charlies untimely departure leaves a terrible void for all the lives he touched. He loved spending time with family and close friends. At the time of his death, he was a dogcat groomer at Hobbs Animal Clinic where he had a host of loyal customers who loved his spirit and his work.

Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church Thursday, November 10 at 2 p.m. under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the family of Charles. Also the family asks, in honor of Charles, that contributions be made to Palmer Drug Abuse Program.
