Chad David Bates was born in Hereford, Texas on October 26, 1974. He was the youngest of four children born to Ray and Dianne Bates. He passed away February 15, 2019. He said he did not want to die on Valentine's Day, he wanted his own day. God took him to his Heavenly lake to fish at 12:01am.
Chad was employed by Bobcat Civil in Texas. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking for his friends and fishing. He was the family clown and always the life of the party wherever he went.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Ray and Dianne Bates; a sister, Dawn Jett and two brothers, Marc Bates and Paul Bates. He always enjoyed visits from his three nephews, three nieces, and two great nephews. Chad also leaves behind a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends to remember the good times. He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, five uncles, two aunts, several cousins and his childhood best friend, Kevin Shrum. He knew they would be waiting for him in Heaven to go fishing.
Chad wanted everyone to be happy for him, so he requested that people wear casual attire to his services--dress for a celebration of life!
In lieu of flowers, Chad requested a contribution be made to a charity of one's choice or plant a garden in his memory!
