Cecil Maynard

December 15, 1906 — January 15, 2007


Mr. Maynard, 100, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at Country Cottage Nursing Home. He was born Dec. 15, 1906, in Comanche County, Texas. He married Gladys Davis on April 19, 1930, in Grandfield, Okla.

C.T. moved from Pampa, Texas, to Hobbs, N.M., in 1936. He worked in the oilfield as a driller and tool pusher. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Jim Maynard of Hobbs, N.M., and Ron Maynard of Goodyear, Ariz.; a daughter, Kathy Parker of San Marcos, Texas; nine grandchildren; and 16 greatshy;grandchildren.

C. T. was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Maynard in 2000; one daughter, Betty Scott.in 1990; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Snyder, Hobbs, NM 88240.
