Carolyn Jean Burrows Bilbo "Nana" peacefully entered her eternal life at her home, surrounded by her loved ones, on July 22nd, 2022, at the age of 75.
Carolyn was born on May 6th, 1947, in Artesia, New Mexico, to CT and Lucille Burrows. Carolyn attended Lovington schools until 1963 when her family relocated to Hobbs, and she joined the Hobbs High School class of 1965. Carolyn married Paul Dee Lee Bilbo on July 5th, 1965, in Juarez, Mexico. In 1966 the couple welcomed into their home their first child, Leslie and in 1971 they welcomed their second child, Chris.
Carolyn worked for the Hobbs Police Department as the Head Statistician; United New Mexico Bank and Trust as the Mineral Interest Accounting Clerk; Unichem as the Accounts Payable Clerk; and for Lea Regional Medical Center as a Switchboard Operator. Carolyn was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Carolyn was always known for the love she had and showed toward her family and friends, but especially the love she had for her four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
During her free time, Carolyn could be found "antiquing," sitting on the porch with her family listening to old tunes, crocheting, or doing some embroidery.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Leslie Malone; her son, Chris Bilbo and wife Julie; her four grandchildren, Amanda Greer and husband Adam; Justin Bilbo and wife Cheyenne; Christopher Bilbo and wife Mercedes; and Brayden Bilbo; and her two great-grandchildren, Ava Greer and Case Bilbo; and special friends, Tika Knapp and Jerry.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Paul Dee Lee Bilbo; her father, CT Burrows; and her mother, Lucille Burrows.
