Carl Odom

Carl Eugene Odom, 81, was born March 30, 1932 in Nauvoo, Alabama to Clarence and Vallar Odom. Carl passed away February 4, 2014 in Hobbs, New Mexico.

Mr. Odom served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955. He was a resident of Hobbs since 1955. Carl retired from Northern Natural Gas after 30 years. He owned and operated Odoms Nursery from January 1972 to July 1979.

Mr. Odom is survived by his wife Donna sons Steve, Craig and wife Susan, and Rolf and wife Denise brother Charles and wife Zelda Odom sister Trinda Ussery four grandchildren, Lindsey Lemoncelli, Chris Odom, Brian Odom and Andria Odom.

Mr. Odom was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Kathryn Odom.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 7, 2014 at Chapel of Hope, with the family in attendance from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Visitation will resume 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Chapel of Hope.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church, officiated by Ray Smith. Interment will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
