Byron H. Palmer, 41, passed away on November 17th, 2021. He was born to Kenneth and Regina Palmer in Hobbs, New Mexico on December 27th, 1979. He graduated from Hobbs High School in 1998. During high school he was an active member of the American Red Cross Youth Group and volunteered with the Humane Society. Throughout the years he continued his love for animals, especially dogs, and always welcomed and made a home for a stray.
Byron was last working at O&S Quik Change in Hobbs, NM as a Service Technician. He took pride in being dedicated and hardworking at the handful of jobs he worked at. He stayed at each a minimum of 5 years from a teenager on into his adult life. He previously worked at La Tienda, Kendall’s Meat Market and BJ Services.
A gentle giant, beloved by his family and friends, Byron will be greatly missed. He was the fun Uncle who loved spending time with his nephews and nieces and they just as much in return. It became tradition during family gatherings that they would gather around their uncle while he balanced an object on his finger or watched him play a video game and/or video on his phone or tablet. He enjoyed video games and computers. Byron had a kind-hearted soul. He was a great listener and easy to talk to. He was always just a phone call away and always willing to help a person out.
Byron is survived by his parents Kenneth and Regina Palmer, sisters Kathryn Samuels (Xavier), Sasha Palmer Torres-Rolon (Angel), Kendra Worley, brothers Kenneth Palmer Jr. (Helen), Kevin Palmer (Deena), Ryan Palmer. As well as 7 nieces, 8 nephews and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Byron was preceded in death by his Grandfather Andrew Jimmy Palmer and Grandmother Eddie Mae Palmer.
