Bryan Lane Sparks, 36, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 in Olive Branch, MS. A service to celebrate Bryan's life will be Saturday, April 23 at 2:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 920 N. Turner, Hobbs, NM with Rev. Caryn Thurman officiating. A friends and family gathering will be 4:00 - 6:00 pm, Friday, April 22, 2016 at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home, Hobbs, NM.
Bryan was born April 17, 1980, in Ponca City, OK to David Ray Sparks and Barbara Lane. Bryan attended schools in Hobbs, Newcastle, OK, and Frenship, TX. While in school he played the saxophone and oboe in the band and was a member of the Order of DeMolay. He was confirmed in the First Presbyterian Church of Hobbs as a teenager.
Bryan worked as a master scheduler at Flextronics Logistics in Memphis, TN, where he met the love of his life, Allison Harris. Bryan enjoyed RC cars, his pick-up truck, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, OU football, country music, and was an avid fan of the original Dukes of Hazzard. Bryan's love of his family and friends made him an integral part of our lives. With his enthusiasm and sense of humor he brought joy, laughter and comfort to everyone. His smile warmed our hearts, and lifted our spirits whenever he was around. We were blessed with his love and will forever carry him in our hearts.
Bryan is lovingly remembered by his parents, Barbara and Rob Smedley of Hobbs and David Sparks of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister, Lauren Seago and niece Eden; step-brothers Tanner and Justin Sparks, and Allison Harris of Olive Branch, Mississippi. Bryan will be missed by his aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved Bryan very much.
Bryan was preceded in death by grandparents Robert H. and Catherine Lane, Ray and Patsy Sparks, a stepbrother Jason Smedley and an uncle, Billy Tidwell.
