A funeral service for Braydin Nicholas CoferSlaugh of Hobbs will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010, at First United Methodist Church in Hobbs. Burial will follow after services at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

Chapel of Hope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Braydin, 6 months, died May 21, 2010, at his home in Hobbs. He was born November 21, 2009, in Hobbs.

Braydin, we know you were too perfect to live on this earth. It is not goodbye. We will see you later.

Survivors include his father Brent Slaugh of Hobbs, his mother Ashley Cofer of Hobbs stepfather Michael Jarrel Acosta of Hobbs stepbrother Bryan Acosta of Hobbs grandparents Laura Lopez of South Bend, Indiana, Gregory Cofer of Hobbs and Michael and Tammy Slaugh of Hobbs two uncles, Jonathan Cofer and wife Nancy of Fort Benning, Georgia, and Markus Hernandez of Hobbs three aunts, Paula Cofer of South Bend, Avery Acosta of Hobbs and Kristen ZavalaLaQuerre and husband James LaQuerre of Las Cruces greatgrandparents Gilbert and Cruz Lopez of Albuquerque JoAnn McCracken of Bloomfield, New Mexico, and Irma Gillispie of Hobbs special uncle Chris Pannel of Hobbs three cousins, Melika Cofer, Kanani Cofer and James Hernandez and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
