Boyd Davis

Boyd (Red) Davis was born May 14, 1929 in Haskell, Texas to John and Lillian Davis. He passed away August 31, 2015 in Lubbock, TX.

He married Banna J. Holt on August 18, 1948 in Haskell, Texas. He lived in the community since 1960 and worked in the oilfield as a salesman. He loved his family. He enjoyed fishing. Boyd was a member of Highland Baptist Church and was a faithful Christian.

Boyd leaves behind his wife of 67 years, two sons; Kenny (Phyllis) Davis and Greg (Cathy) Davis and one daughter Cindy (Tim) Taylor all of Hobbs, NM, his brothers; Jerry (Nancy) Davis of Iowa Park, TX and Taylor (Shirley) Davis of Coleman Lake, TX and one sister; Johnnie Lytle of Midland, TX, 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son; Michael Davis, grandson; Jason Davis, great-great- granddaughter; Dolores (Lola) Garza and two sisters; Retha Regean and Frankie Boase.
