Bonnie Sue Powers of Hobbs, New Mexico, passed from this life December 21, 2013, in Lubbock, Texas. Bonnie was born June 27, 1945 in Plattsburg, Missouri to Homer and Hazel Molder. Bonnie enjoyed 68 years of a full and memorable life before joining her Savior and her beloved husband Bob. Bonnie dedicated her life to helping others. This service was demonstrated through her service to the American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary, where she served in many capacities. Her true love and joy of life presented itself through the dedication she had to her family and friends.
Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Karen Gilbert husband Mike, and children Casey and Becky Sandy Evans children Jennifer, Sarah and Jessica Sherri Culwell children Kelbi and Clare and Kelly Bates husband Sean, and children Brittley and Kristen and 15 greatgrandchildren sister Dixie Tarr and brothers Wayne and Vergil Molder.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Powers, Jr Bob her parents Homer and Hazel Molder six siblings and one grandchild.
Those wishing to honor Bonnies memory may participate in any of the following causes that were close to her heart: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Option, Inc. VFW Auxiliary or American Legion Auxiliary.
