Bobby Fitt

Memorial services for Bobby Dean Fitt, 84, of Hobbs, will be Saturday, 10:00 a.m. January 14, 2012, at Ballard Funeral Home in Roswell, NM. There will be a private family burial at the Wheatland Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. that Saturday.

Bobby died November 30, 2011, in Hobbs. He was born November 15, 1927, in Mattoon, Illinois, to James and Hazel Fitt. He married Angie Locknane August 24, 1952, in Cimarron, NM. She passed March 2, 2011.

Painting, woodworking, golf and gardening were some of the things he enjoyed. He was a teacher and coached basketball from 1952 to the late 60s. Bobby was a principal for Mt. View middle school in Roswell from 1979 1979. He became athletic director of the Roswell School District in 1980 1988.

Fitt is survived by a son, Jeff Fitt, and wife Katrina, of Los Lunas, NM two daughters, Susan Francke, and husband Erich, of Hobbs and Jennifer Webb, and husband Steven, of St. Charles, MO and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
