Funeral services for Bob Cochran of Hobbs, New Mexico, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 9, 2009, at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church with Mr. Ray Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
Visitation is 1 - 5 p.m. Sunday at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Mr. Cochran, 79, died November 5, 2009, at his home in Hobbs. He was born November 20, 1929, in Lohn, Texas. He married Maxine Cocnran over 60 years ago in Brady Texas.
Bob worked at Watson Truck and Supply 53 years until his retirement. He had been a deacon and member of Taylor Memorial Baptist Church for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and horses. Bob was a family man and greatly enjoyed and loved his family.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Cochran of Hobbs, and Tim Cochran and wife Retha of Artesia, New Mexico; a brother, Danny Cochran of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Angela Cochran of Artesia, Matt Cochran of Artesia, and Shelly Cochran of Arkansas; and five great-grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Cochran in 1999; a sister, Maxine Hall; and grandson, Brandon Marshall.
