Funeral services for Bobbie Conaway of Hobbs, N.M., will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Chappell officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens.
Visitation is 1-5 p.m. Sunday, 1-5 p.m. Monshy;day with the family in attendance from 4-5 p.m. and 8 a.m.shy;12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Mrs. Conshy;away, 81, died May 20, 2008, at Lea Regional Medical Center. She was born Feb. 28, 1927, in Texon, Texas: She married Joe Conaway on Dec. 16, 1944, in Dallas, Texas. They celebrated 63 years of marriage in December.
Bobbie had been very active with Eastern Star, having served as Worthy Matron in 1957. She was a talented artist, enjoyed crafts, gardening, cooking and sewing for her family. Bobbie met Jack Maddox many years ago and was involved with the Maddox family in work and at picshy;nics. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husshy;band, Joe Conaway of the home; a son, Don Conaway of Albuquerque, N.M.; two daughters, Jan Pfeiffer of Hobbs, N.M., and Marsha McIlwain of Weatherford, Texas; four grandsons, Kelly and Chris Pfeiffer of Hobbs; N.M., Kyle Lathram of Midland, Texas, and Shaun Conaway of Oregon; a grandshy;daughter, Heather Brown of Hobbs, N.M.; 10 great-grandshy;children.
Bobbie was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Van Pfeiffer, and a granddaughter, Krista Lathram.
