Funeral services for Bob Davis of Hobbs, N.M., will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with Minister Beth Harrishy;ngton officishy;ating. Burial will follow at Prairie Hashy;ven Memoshy;rial Park.
Visitation is 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home. Family will greet friends from 5-6:30 p.m.
Mr. Davis, 79, died Oct. 8, 2007, in Hobbs, N.M. He was born June 20, 1928, in Pampa; Texas. He married Doris Wise on Aug. 20, 1950, in Midland, Texas.
Bob retired from Parks Produce in 1987. He and his wife lived in Monahans, Texas, before moving to Pampa, Texas, where he enjoyed raising and training llamas. They moved to Hobbs in 1997. He was an active member of St. Paul's and was one of the bingo men at Good Sam's for many years. He was a past master and endowed member of the Monahans Masonic Lodge No. 952.
Survivors include his loving wife, Doris of Hobbs; two sons, Sam Davis and wife Maxine of Midland, Texas, and Mike Davis and wife Stacy of Hobbs; three grandshy;children, Denise Davis of Midland, Texas, Nathan Davis of Hobbs and Sara Keifer of Midland, Texas; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Johana Davis Nursing Scholarship Full through the NMJC or the Helping Hands of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
