alignjustifyFuneral services for Billy Ray Stroud of Fort Worth, Texas, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2009, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Shook officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

alignjustifyVisitation will be 1-6 p.m. Sunday at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home with the family in attendance from 5-6 p.m.

alignjustifyArrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

alignjustifyMr. Stroud, 56, died August 11, 2009, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born August 31, 1952, in Portales, New Mexico.

alignjustifyBilly graduated from Hobbs High School in 1970 and from Texas Tech University with a degree in architectural design in 1977. He was self-employed and worked closely with Roberts Taylor and Sensabaugh Forensic Engineering firm as a project manager overseeing engineering and project completion.

alignjustifySurvivors include his parents, Bo and Helen Stroud of Hobbs; a daughter, Marissa Stroud of Cashion, Oklahoma; a sister, Belva Martin and husband Don of Hobbs; a nephew, Jerry Martin and wife Rene of Hobbs; and a niece, Kristi Mason and husband Jarrad of Hobbs. Billy was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan F. Stroud.
