Billy W. Kirby

Billy W Kirby, age 94 of Ruidoso, NM passed away on Aug 22, 2023, in Lovington, NM.

Bill was born in Goldthwaite, TX on January 15, 1929, to Gus and Eliza Kirby.  Bill married the love of his life Jackie on May 22, 1954.  He served in the US Army as a Bulldozer operator during the Korean Conflict.  After honorably discharging from the service, he began his 40-year career with El Paso Natural Gas Co in Jal, NM.  After retiring from EPNG, Bill and Jackie moved to Ruidoso, NM where they enjoyed cool mountain air, horse racing and playing dominoes with many close friends. 

He is survived by his wife of the home, Jackie Kirby, sons John Kirby (Vicki), Gary Kirby (Georgia), daughter Sandra McCormick (Randy) and son-in-law Joe Spain, grandchildren, Amy, Terrence, Ree, Kaitlin, Tyler, and great-grandchildren, Jazzery, Jaylene, Janessa, Jayden, Kaison, and Kianna. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Brenda Kirby Spain.
