Memorial services for Billy Clint Brown, 69 of Hobbs, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Chapel of Hope officiated by his family. Billy died April 29, 2012, at his home in Hobbs. He was born July 22, 1942, in Cottonwood, TX, to Loyd and Irene Brown. May 9, 1961, he married Mary Elizabeth Ritter in Kermit, TX.
Bill was a machinist in the oil business for more than forty years and made many friends throughout his career. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, greatgrandfather, brother and uncle who enjoyed gardening, storytelling and laughter and his sense of humor was a joy.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Mary Elizabeth Beth Brown of Hobbs four sons, Billy Kimbrough Brown, and fiance Wanda, of Carson City, NV, George Andrew Brown, and companion Yvonne, of Irving, TX James Loyd Brown, and wife Dana, of Odessa, TX and Jason Eudaley Brown of Ft. Worth, TX grandsons, Clint William Brown and Ritter Alexander Brown, both of Odessa, TX granddaughter, Claire Murray Brown of Odessa, TX greatgranddaughter, Skarlette Brown, of Odessa, TX motherinlaw, Lucile Ritter, of Hobbs sisters, Jo Larence of Amarillo, TX, and Marjorie Johnson, and husband Floyd, of Lutts, TN brothers, Coy Brown, and wife Emma, of Amarillo, TX, Edd Brown of Aztec, NM, and Pete Brown, and wife Pam, of Prescott Valley, AZ aunts, uncles, many friends and family and his faithful and fearsome canine companions, Pixie and Page.
Preceding him in death were his son, Jeffry Clint Brown and his parents, Loyd and Irene Brown.
