Bill Love

Billy Jack Love was born Hobbs, N.M., Jan. 21, 1939, to Robert and Claudia Stanfield Love. He died Feb. 28, 2008, in Lubbock, Texas, of complicashy;tions resulting from heart surshy;gery.

Bill is survived by his fiancee, Carolyn Price; his son Jack Love; his sisters, Eugenia Love White of Las Cruces, Linda Love Zastrow of Bellflower, Calif., and Bobbie Love Norton of Hobbs; his grandchildren, Lee Ann and Shellby Love of Hobbs; Ryan Russell of California, Kyle Russell, in the USMC, Iraq; and Robbie of California; and his great-grandshy;daughter, Mariah of Hobbs. Bill leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.

He had many lifelong friends, and he was greatly loved for his sweet nature and terrific sense of humor. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He had been employed for many years at E.L. Farmer. Billy will be greatly missed. People were drawn to him wherever he went. His passing will leave a great void in the lives of all who knew and loved him. Cremation has taken place at Bill's request.

A memorial service is planned Monday, March 3, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Chapel of Hope in Hobbs. His family has requested, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VistaCare Hospice, 1515 Calle Sur, Hobbs or to a charity of choice.
