Bill Johnson

Bill R. Johnson, 92, was born April 30, 1924 in Kiefer, OK to Jack and Wynona Johnson. He passed away in Hobbs, NM on August 12, 2016.

Bill married Vivian Johnson on July 13, 1946 in Shamrock, OK. He served in the US Army. Bill was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a mason for 50 years, he was also a member of the Antique Car Club. He enjoyed hunting, working and was a car "buff". He completely restored a '59 Impala Convertible that was his show car.

He leaves behind two daughters; Tina Baskin (Jim) of Andrews and Carolyn Johnson of Hobbs, four grandchildren; Christy Seay of Andrews, Matthew Baskin (Danielle) of San Angelo, TX, daughter-in-law; Debbie Adams Johnson, Melissa Arreola (Andres) of Hobbs, NM and Christopher Johnson (Ashley) of Decatur, TX and ten great-grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife in 2006, his son, Clifford in 2008, one brother and one sister.
