Beulah Ward

LaVon Ward was born to Bertie and Beulah Black on December 11, 1942. She was the baby of four siblings, brothers, Gaylon and Thomas Black and sisters, Laverne James and LaDell Flanagen. She married Cecil Wayne Ford on October 3, 1959. They had 24 years of marriage and 2 children, daughter, Laneta Kay Ford Peveler and a son, Ricky Wayne Ford. She was the love of their lives.
At a young age, she became a grandmother to 2 beautiful grandchildren, Heather LaDawn Kann, her best granddaughter, and Steven Shea Hartley, her amazing grandson Later in her very short life she became a greatgrandma to two more additions, greatgrandsons, Braylon and little Brantley Vega and a greatgranddaughter, Keileigh Vega.
LaVon loved doing things with her son, Rick Ford. They were very close to each other. She will still be by our sides when working on our favorite hobbies. If there were orders to be given, she made sure she gave them.
She married Kenneth Ward December 30, 1983, and added four more to the family, John, Donny, Sandra Ward and Kathy Craig.
LaVon was always working on her home or her kids homes. She loved to be at home.
LaVon was preceded in death by her father, B. J. Black her mother, Beulah Black her first husband, Cecil Wayne Ford a grandson, Justin Wayne and a sister, Laverne James.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Kenneth Ward daughter, LaNeta Kay Ford Peveler, and husband Tommy son, Rick Ford granddaughter, Heather Kann finace, Robert Vega grandson, Steven Shea Hartley three greatgrandchildren, Kaileigh, Braylon and Brantley Vega.
We will miss you each and every day, Momma. We love you Gods peace by with you.
Funeral services will be 10:00a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at the Church at Hobbs, 1600 E. Bender in Hobbs officiated by Pastor John Ayres. Interment will be in the Lovington Cemetery.
