On Tuesday July 25, 2017 Betty Threatt left this life and stepped into glory. Betty Jean Elam Threatt was born October 14, 1930 to Mattie and Lonnie Elam in Hobbs, New Mexico. She graduated from Hobbs High School in May of 1949.
On July 7, 1949, she married the love of her life, Duane Threatt. They raised two daughters. Betty was a fulltime wife, mother and homemaker; her legacy.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Deborah Hart and husband, Hubert, Darla Clark and husband, Jack. Granddaughter, Chandra Butterfield and husband, Chris, Grandson, David Johnson and wife, Sara, great granddaughters, Ayla and Bralee Butterfield and Bernadette Johnson, a great grandson, Ryan Butterfield.
Betty was blessed and survived by an "I do" family: Sheila and Carlos Fuentez, , Michell Pilcher, Raquel and A J. Montenez, Kendyll and Tara Pilcher, Daniel and Tiffany Fuentez, great grandchildren, Mia, Lila and Olivia Montenez and Brinley Pilcher.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and great grand daughter, Reese Pilcher.
Betty's lasting legacy is the host of family, friends and loved ones whose lives were impacted by Betty's love and wisdom.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, August 1, 2016, 10am at Chapel of Hope. Burial will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery immediately following services. Visitation will be Monday, July 31 at Chapel of Hope from 8-7pm with the family in attendance from 5-7pm.
