Betty Teague

Funeral services for Betty Sue Teague of Eunice, New Mexico, will be held at 2:30 p.m., September 10, 2009, at Bethel Baptist Church in Knowles with Star Hospice Chaplain Steve Lord officiating. Burial will follow at Teague Cemetery.

Visitation is 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. - noon Saturday at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

Betty was born June 2, 1945, in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She died October 7, 2009, in Eunice.

Survivors include a son, Donald Teague and wife Melody of Hobbs, New Mexico; four daughters, Sis Teague of Hobbs, Jo Teague of Eunice, Janice Cowan of Eunice, and Shirley Brown and husband Michael of Eunice; a lifelong friend and companion, Glenn Teague of Hobbs; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Nolie and Ester Holmes; a brother, Jess Holmes, three sisters, Vida Pearl Sherrill, Addlene Hammond and Othell Carlton; and three sons, Steven Dean Teague, Mark Edward Teague and David Wayne Teague.
