Betty Ruth Conatser Robinson passed away, July 18, 2016 in Hobbs, NM. Betty Ruth was born July 18, 1923 in Lingleville, TX, where she graduated high school and was named Queen of Lingleville in 1941. She married R. N. "Robby" Robinson on January 23, 1943, and they moved to Hobbs in 1954. She worked for a grocery store, Shell Oil Co, and J.C. Penny before becoming the secretary and bookkeeper for Robby's real estate business and eventually obtaining her own real estate license.
Betty and Robby were charter members of Taylor Memorial Baptist Church and important early contributors to New Mexico Baptist College (now University of the Southwest), where Robby served on the first Board of Trustees. She loved to attend family reunions with her large extended family, and she had a wonderful sense of humor. She also loved to cook (especially her homemade grape jelly) and was an immaculate housekeeper.
Betty was preceded in death by her brothers Marvin, Otis, Jack, Kay, Ray, and Bobby, her sister Mary Jo, and her husband Robby.
She is survived by her brother Jimmy Conatser of Jacksboro, TX; sons Richard Don and his wife Candi and Ken and his wife Cindy; grandchildren Kyle and Marney; and many nieces and nephews.
