A funeral service for Betty Jo Schlitler Mann of Hobbs, N.M., will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Chapel of Hope. Steve Lord, Star Hospice Chaplain, will officishy;ate.

Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funshy;eral Home. Visitation will be Monshy;day, April 28, from 11 a.m.shy;5 p.rn. at the funeral home.

Ms. Mann, 75, died Aprshy;il 24, 2008, at her home. She was born June 18, 1932, in Oklahoma City.

Betty Jo moved to Hobbs, N.M., in 1952. She was employed by GTE as an operashy;tor for 24 12 years. She enjoyed knitting and collectshy;ing telephones.

Betty Jo was a member of Eastern Star. She loved life.

Betty Jo is surved by her friends, Lee Nelson of Hobbs, N.M., Mike Dixon of Hobbs, N.M., Thelma Schaefer of Canoga Park, Calif., Zane Schaefer of Eunice, N.M., Glynn Biswell of Hobbs, N.M., and Marshall Brunson of Hobbs, N.M.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Elliott and Lillian Mae Hack; two husbands, George E. Schlitler and Ray Mann; and four sons, Louis, Carl, Darrell and Jarrell Schlitler.

Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
