Betty Goodwin

Funeral services for Betty Zane Goodwin will be Monday, March 14, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at Crosswinds Baptist Church with Pastor Brad Reimers officiating. Interment will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Chapel of Hope from 1 4 p.m.

Mrs. Goodwin died March 11, 2011, in Hobbs. She was born Mary 14, 1926, in Justin, Texas, to Harold and Dorothy Wilson. She married Clarence Wilson October 22, 1942, in Hobbs. They were married for 68 wonderful years. Betty attended Crosswinds Baptist Church

Betty was a devoted wife and mother. She loved spending time with her grandkids and greatgrandkids. In her younger days, she enjoyed going to movies, ropings, and loved to ride snow mobiles in Cloudcroft and Colorado. She worked in the church nursery at Northside for over thirty years. She also was a Pink Lady volunteer and she loved to read.

Surviving Betty is her husband, Clarence of the home son, Jim Goodwin of Cloudcroft, NM daughter, Judy Pistole of Hobbs two grandsons, Brian Goodwin and wife Sherry of Hobbs and Clay Goodwin, and wife Kristi of Hobbs two granddaughters, Cyndi Fidel , and husband David, of Garland, Tx, and Debbie Powell, and husband Brian, of Devol, OK ten greatgrandchildren, Collin Goodwin, Tristan Goodwin, Austin Goodwin, Summer Goodwin, and Caleb Goodwin, all of Hobbs, Taylor Fidel, Spencer Fidel and Chandler Fidel of Garland, TX, and Luke Powell and Conner Powell of Devol, OK.

Preceding her in death are her parents and a brother, Harold Wilson, Jr.
