A funeral service for Betty Sue Etter of Hobbs will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2199, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Pastor LaVoid Ford will officiate. Burial will take place after the service at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday 8 a.m. 7 p.m. with the family in attendance from 5 7 p..m. and Wednesday 8 a.m. until service time.
Etter, 73, died October 7, at Lea Regional Medical Center. She was born March 29, 1938, in Hobbs.
She married Sam Etter on November 20, 1965.
She was an assistant manager for Tooties Grocery for over 17 years. She was the owner of Super Subs and Salads and sold Collette Clothing. Betty enjoyed playing bingo, collecting Indian pottery and taking food to the needy. He favorite flowers were yellow roses and spider mums. She also loved to fish.
She was a member of Belvue Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Etter, of Hobbs son, Trey Etter and wife Stephanie of Hobbs three daughters, Deborah Dutton and husband Charles of Hobbs, Cheri LaReau, and husband Andy, of Hobbs and Anita Culver, and special friend Homer Carr of Hobbs two Chihuahua puppies, Bell and Pandora nine grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents brother, Grady Hilliard two sisters, Ada Bingham and Mozelle Collins and granddaughter, Destiny Etter.
