Bessie Mosley

September 27, 1934 — July 1, 2021

Hobbs

Bessie Mae Mosley passed peacefully into Our Heavenly Father’s arms on Thursday, July 1, 2021, with family at her side.  She was born September 27, 1934, in Rusk, Texas to Earnest Session, Sr and Pearline Price Session. She married George Alex Mosley and was forever known as “Darlin” on June 13, 1954, in a double wedding ceremony with her twin sister.  They were blessed with eight children.  Bessie graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and was a founding board member of the BTW Alumni Association.  As a homemaker, she was skilled at cooking, gardening, and sewing, but she was extraordinary at opening her heart and arms to anyone and everyone who crossed her path.  Being a wife and mother and spending time with family and friends was what she loved most, but it was even better if she was fishing while doing it.  Her walk with Christ and her many lasting friendships began at Roxana Street Church of Christ and continued through the years at Jefferson Street Church of Christ.

She lovingly leaves behind children Georgia Mosley Kampovsky, Larry/Toby Mosley, William Mosley (Lillian), Anndranette/Bannie Terrell, Jeff Mosley (Kristy), Charles Mosley and Kevin Mosley (Tammy), sister Willie Mae Mitchell, grandchildren Tanisha, Isaac, Portia, Donald, Ashley, Erika, Chad, Derick, Josh, Josie, Cooper, Myka, Alexa and Marquita, great grandchildren Alaisha, Amauria, Jaylen, Jordan, Jayceon, Alanah and Alaya, and numerous nieces, nephews and special lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Arvadite Henry, son-in laws Johnny Henry, Derick Terrell and Karl Kampovsky, twin sister Jessie Mae Hilliard, sister Connie Session, brothers Earnest Session, Lee Session, Weldon Session, Irvin Session, Richard Session and Gary Session.
