Barbara Lindsey

Mrs. Lindsey, 80, died Jan. 2, 2007, at Bee Hive Homes. She was born April 27, 1926 in Pioneer, Texas. She married Robert Bob Lindsey, who died in 1998.

Mrs. Lindsey enjoyed needlework, especially crocheting. She was of the Methodist faith. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She faithfully assisted her husband during his long illness. The Lindsey family would like to thank VistaCare Hospice and Bee Hive Homes employees for their loving care of Joan.

Survivors include her daughter, Lana Alcorn and husband Don of Hobbs; a brother, Jimmy Woods and wife Ina Mae of Lubbock, TX; a sister, Marcella Howard of Wichita, Kan.; a grandson, Ryan Ballinger of Edina, Minn.; three granddaughters, Bevra Ballinger of Bangor, Maine, Jill Grumbles of Cyprus, TX and Julie Fisher of Midland, TX; two great-grandsons, Riley Ballinger of Edina, Minn. and Brandon Fisher of Midland, TX and three great-granddaughters, Lindsey Ballinger of Edina, Minn. Emily Grumbles of Cyprus, TX and Alyssa Trevina of Cyprus, TX.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Linda Olsen.
