Artie White

Artie E. White was born May 1, 1952 to Mr. Jacob Howard Rice Sr. and Mrs. Artie E. Rice in Hobbs, NM. Artie was the youngest of nine children.

Artie accepted Christ at a young age and united with Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church where she still attended when her health allowed her to. Artie met and married Ronald Lee White Sr. Artie was a loving, caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. All who knew her called her "O.P.P,"(Old Po Person), then she would give you a response of "You know Me".

Artie's fight with cancer came to an end on Sunday December 23, 2018. Preceded her in death were her parents Jacob Howard Rice Sr., Artie E. Rice, six brothers R.B. Smith, L.K. Smith, Herbert Rice, Roscoe Curtis Rice, Jacob Howard Rice Jr., John Henry Rice (Johnny), and one sister Minerva Murry.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her son Ronald Lee White Jr. of Hobbs, NM, one sister Margaret Akison of Hobbs, NM, five grandchildren Rondaja White, Makayla White, Jairus White, Antaeus White all of Dallas, TX and Journey White of Hobbs, NM and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
