Annjeanette Williams

Funeral services for Annjeanette Anjie Williams of Hobbs, N.M., will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2008, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home with Pastor John Ayers officiating.

Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation is 8 a.m.to 7 p.m. Thursday with the family in attendance from 5 to 7 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Williams, 81, died May 19, 2008, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. She was born July 10, 1926, in Levelland, Texas. She married Lattie Lad Williams on Feb. 8, 1941, in Brownfield, Texas.

Anjie had been employed with Hobbs Cleaners for 31 years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, working and being outdoors. She attended and enjoyed watching her great-granddaughter, Taylor Shannon, play sports. Anjie never missed a game that Taylor played. She loved her cats. Anjie was very involved with her church and Sunday school class. She was loved by everyone who knew her and especially by her family and will be missed by all.

She was a member of Fellowship of Believers.

Survivors include her son, Wesley Williams and daughter-in-law Nelva of Hobbs, N.M.; three sisters, Naoma Williams of Hobbs, N.M., Wilma Cathey of Andrews, Texas, and Ruth Deere of Lamesa, Texas; three brothers, John Rodgers of Hobbs, N.M., Odis Dean Rodgers of Mountain View, Ark., and Joe Edd Williams of Seagraves, Texas; two grandshy;daughters, Lana Shannon of Hobbs, N.M., and Tania Lopez of Cleburne, Texas; three grandsons, Darrick Williams of Albuquerque, N.M., Scott Williams of Madison, Ala., and Robert Williams of Chattanooga, Tenn.; seven great-grandchildren; a special friend, Marge Hudson of Hobbs, N.M.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Anjie was preceded in death by her husband, Lad Williams; a son, Tom Williams; a brother, Roy Williams; a sister, Josephine Adams; and two great grandsons, Matthew and Conner Williams.
